Job Title:Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Location:Guelph, ON
Scope for the position:- Evaluation of product formulations for compliance for sale in the Canadian market based on applicable regulatory requirements for Natural Health Products (NHPs).
- Completion of NHP product and site license applications, notifications and amendments as per Health Canada’s regulations within required timelines.
- Leads the change control process for initiated regulatory changes with cross functional departments.
- Preparation of approved label text, review and release of product labels.
- Coordination with manufacturers and vendors on Canadian regulatory compliance for domestic and/or imported products.
- Correspondence with appropriate regulatory agencies regarding compliance issues.
- Maintains quality operations by following quality policies and standard operating procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete all aspects of product and site license applications and amendments as per Canadian regulations for NHPs.
- Conduct literature searches in support of NHP safety and efficacy and evaluates formulas and specifications for Regulatory compliance.
- Compile and submit research findings to Health Canada in support of product licensing requirements.
- Revision of internal product specifications for compliance with regulatory requirements in coordination with Quality Assurance.
- Work with cross functional departments including R&D, Purchasing, Quality, Marketing and Production on regulatory initiatives.
- Preparation of new product label text, ensuring current regulatory requirements are met.
- Revisions and release of product labels as required.
- Respond to Health Canada information request notices (IRNs) relating to product or site licensing within required timelines.
- Initiate and lead the product change control process.
- Correspondence with regulatory agencies on compliance related matters.
- Maintains product quality and regulatory documentation including tracking of licensing applications.
- Record keeping as required.
- Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) of labels required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications, education, experience, training, skills, background, and certifications:
- Post-secondary education preferably in the area of nutrition, chemistry or human biology
- Experience with submission of Natural Health Product License applications (required)
- Proven research skills, particularly literature reviews
- Knowledge or experience with USP or other pharmacopeial monographs
- Ability to decipher and interpret/understand scientific studies, formulations and reports
- Good communication skills with particular skill in writing scientific reports and corresponding with regulatory agencies
- Familiarity with Health Canada’s food, drug and natural health product regulations and GMPs
- Knowledge of Canadian nutraceutical and natural health products industry
- Proven attention to detail, demonstrated through education, training or employment in inspection, research, data collection/management or comparable environment
- Advanced computer skills (MS-Office suites, Oracle Applications)
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on projects and tasks in a well-organized manner to meet deadlines
- Teamwork skills

Job Title:Accounts Receivable Coordinator
Location:In-person, onsite in Guelph, ON
Scope for the position:The Accounts Receivable Coordinator for Grocery and Mass channels is responsible for managing and maintaining the financial records related to customer payments, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, and maintain positive relationships with clients. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to manage accounts effectively.
Basic function of the position:Collecting customer payments of invoices daily.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Collecting customer payments daily via Past Due & Follow Up Reports
- Post payments from Grocery and Mass Channel customers
- Releasing held orders in the system
- A/R reporting – Aging & 7 Bucket Reports
- Review and ensure resolution of outstanding customer issues in a timely manner
- Health food, Grocery and Mass account reconciliation

- Processing credit card payments
- Identify trends or irregularities in payment behavior

Job Title:Manufacturing Quality Lead Inspector
Location:Guelph, ON
Scope for the position:Leads and coordinates the Quality Control team on all inspection activities. Works with Quality, Manufacturing and Operations personnel to solve problems and deal with quality control issues as they occur, making recommendations for immediate corrective action when necessary to ensure optimum product quality
Basic function of the position:Assist Quality leadership in performing investigations on customer complaints and deviations; performs inspection functions, audits packaging and manufacturing lines for GMP and SOP compliance; and provides training to quality and manufacturing personnel
Duties and Responsibilities:- Coordinates all inspection activities on the respective shift, including dispositioning of materials. Performs inspections, as necessary
- Conducts and documents investigations as necessary
- Implements quality and process improvement initiatives in conjunction with quality and operations personnel
- Recommends systems, processes, activities to improve inspection and sampling productivity on all shifts
- Ensures the availability of adequate maters and supplies necessary to conduct sampling and inspections
- Conducts cGMP and on-the-job training of QC personnel and operations personnel when applicable

- Reviews and updates departmental standard operating procedure to assure cGMP compliance
- Closes Hold and Deviation Investigations

- Delegates daily task assignments for the Quality Control Inspection Team
- Provides Inspectors with investigation assistance
- Assists with Continuous Improvement efforts within the Quality Control department
- Assists management with the monthly metrics that are being tracked for the department

- High school diploma or equivalent and minimum of 5 years quality related experience OR equivalent combination of experience and education
- Additional post-secondary education and prior team leadership experience strongly preferred

- Excellent computer skills with Word and Excel required

Job Title:Account Manager
Location:
On the road: Downtown Toronto
Scope for the position:Effectively manage a defined territory and set of customers to achieve sales targets by building relationships, increasing distribution, improving unit turns and educating store advisors and staff. This is a field position and requires extensive time in stores, supported by required administrative time in a home office (~80% in market, ~20% admin).
Basic function of the position:- To increase total gross sales within the territory and achieve targeted KPIs as defined by sales management.
- To manage profitability through responsible use of trade (co-op) dollars to support sales of the brands & products.
- Successfully achieve placement of top selling products and brands in market as defined by Sales & Marketing Management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Get out there!- A minimum of 20 retail store/customer visits including a minimum of 15 sales presentations per week
- Maintain an up-to-date call schedule in Outlook calendar
- Responsible for the preparation and sales call planning for all customer visits
- Responsible for understanding & communicating all Puresource sales programs and key initiatives to retailers
- Optimize ‘circle of influence’, building relationships with multiple departments in stores to gain incremental opportunities
Know your business & be a leader
- Ensure all sales activities ladder up to support & deliver total sales strategy for Canada as defined by National Sales Manager
- Complete and submit a monthly territory sales report to National Sales Manager
- Responsible for identifying product and brand gaps in stores to review with customers.
- Provide forecasts to purchasing department for any new distribution and/or promotional activity
- Responsible for ensuring proper internal procedures are followed such as in submitting orders to pricing, purchasing etc.
- Development of joint business planning (JBP) presentation decks for annual trade (co-op) planning
- Responsible for managing co-op marketing funds, promotions, demo activity, territory expenses
Train the trainers
- Responsible for coordinating large format training for Puresource brands to retail staff in territory with Product Educator
- Responsible for doing basic education of store advisors in aisle/store when doing regular store visits
Customer Service
- Assist in getting Puresource to achieve our goal of Unmatched Customer Experience in Everything that We Do!
- Ensure timely follow-up, address customer concerns and return emails and phone calls within 24 hours
- Act as a positive influence and representative of Puresource at all times
Travel, Meetings & Tradeshows
- Account managers are expected to be available to attend industry tradeshows and to attend scheduled regional and national meetings.

Job Title:Category Manager
Scope for the position:- The Category Manager for Supplements will be the category liaison to support marketing and sales activities – translating marketing programs into customer-based activities to help drive sales objectives.
- The Category Manager for Supplements will work closely with marketing teams, sales teams and customers to help lead and communicate fact-based insights to drive sales objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of category, shopper insight, competitive and the retailer landscape to inform future marketing initiatives and sales planning
Lead assortment and planogram recommendations for priority categories - Actively lead and generate monthly category reviews, new product and promotional dashboards, competitive insights and report findings and recommendations to the senior leadership team
- Support sales team – strategic selling stories to support key categories and segments
- New Product support – lead and execute best in class retailer/trade facing PPT presentations, new product sell sheets, in-store and digital support to help drive KPI’s
- Assist with the development and coordination of new item launch and training materials (sales and retailer facing) in collaboration with the Nutrition and Health Education Manager
- Lead the recommendation of SKU assortment priorities per category
- Work with internal cross-functional teams to deliver clear channel strategies
- Work closely with supply chain and sales team to manage through SKU rationalization and aging inventory
- Develop, lead, execute and measure strategic National Retail Promotional programs
- Priority customer support – manage strategic sales requests to support booking sheets, digital asks, planograms etc.
- In-store retailer support for strategic customers– in-store displays, endcaps, digital ecommerce support, etc.
- Assist Marketers with product knowledge/information – key selling points
- Support Marketing team in core B2B activities including retailer communications, catalogue deals, promotions, etc.
- Assist in the annual business planning process, supporting marketing and sales planning activities including category insight data, competitive insights, etc. to help build stronger plans
- Analyze & recommend wholesale price changes for private brand products to help ensure market competitiveness & support profitability targets
Support and attend key trade shows - Perform other duties as assigned
Required qualifications, education, experience, training, skills, background, and certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business or related field from an accredited institution
- 3-5 years of relevant industry experience in a related role, supplement expertise preferred
- Experience in the nutritional field is an asset
- MS Office applications – exceptional use of Excel and PPT
- Ability to travel to other facilities and work off hours and weekends as needed
- Valid passport as travel outside of Canada will be required occasionally
- Access to reliable transportation
- Demonstrated project management skills and problem solving necessary to pre-empt and deal with rapidly changing market conditions
- Develops best in class store materials (traditional & digital)
- Expert in developing reports, analyzing and translating that information into actionable insights to help drive sales and marketing objectives
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Team player and proven track record of collaboration to drive exceptional results
- Embraces change and thrives in an evolving environment

Sanitation Technician
Location:
Guelph, Ontario
Scope for the position:- Maintains the overall cleanliness of the manufacturing plant and warehouse area. Performs cleaning and sanitation of areas as stated in the SOP and Master Sanitation Schedule.
Basic function of the position:
- Performs daily sanitation duties as stated in the Master Sanitation Schedule for manufacturing and warehousing areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs duties as stated in the Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Cleans and sanitizes all common areas such as hallways, lockers, locker areas, sanitation rooms, dust collector rooms, drains, docking areas, ovens, ceiling vents and tiles.
- Deep cleaning of production workstations as requested.
- Removal and disposal of trash and cleaning of garbage bins
- Assist production personnel with changeovers and workstation cleaning.
- Checks Soap Titrations and water temperature as needed.
- Refills soap, sanitizers, paper towels, and other personal protective equipment.
- Assists with continuous improvement by Identifying opportunities for quality and sanitation.
- Performs sanitation related tasks including but not limited to scrubbing, mopping of the floors, walls and equipment; vacuuming, removing trash; using the proper chemicals / equipment and all other related duties as assigned.
- Operates electric pallet jack, power washers, steam cleaners floor scrubbers, vacuums and man-lift to assist in performing sanitation duties.
- Completes daily task documentation as required.
- Reports all repairs and maintenance issues throughout the facility in a timely manner.
- Supports Production and Quality teams through sanitation efforts and initiatives.
- Complies with safety, cGMP, SOP and SQF requirements.
- Cleans and sanitizes all common areas such as cafeteria, offices, restrooms, entrances, stairwells, lockers, conference rooms.
- Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork; washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Cleans washrooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors. Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Cleans warehouse areas including loading docks, rails, racks, restrooms, and offices.
- Deep cleaning of offices, hallways, and other common areas.
- Removal and disposal of trash and cleaning of garbage bins.
- Assists with department environmental monitoring activities as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required qualifications, education, experience, training, skills, background, and certifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Basic computer and data entry skills required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing sanitation environment, preferably food or pharmaceuticals helpful.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as MSDS sheets, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals (S.O.P.). Ability to fill out sanitation/production paperwork accurately.
- Good verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to operate various types of powered industrial equipment (floor scrubber, electric pallet jack and man lift) required.
- Good attention to detail skills required.
- Exhibits strong teamwork skills; possesses a good, “can do” attitude; collaborates with others; works in a fast-paced environment while following all company policies and procedures, including all safety policies; and exhibits flexibility and willingness to learn new tasks, change tasks and work in different areas as needed.
